Making "Windy" shipshape

So we need to get our boat ready for living aboard.

We have a "to do" list.
Removing one toilet to make room for washing machine and dryer.

Fun job. Not!

Ruby and Missy check out the boat.

Missy not convinced the artificial grass actually counts as grass.

Comfy bed!

Yep... its comfy.

Googling instructions again.

Reading the manual. Being French built yacht most instructions are in French.

Fixing the leak around the mast.

See all the ropes? We are learning what each one is for! Sheets, halyard, lines... hmm.

We need to check dinghy...as well as scrubbing every surface, making beds comfy and fitting things into the fridge.

There are days of cleaning, polishing, re doing wiring, servicing engines, pumps, batteries, finding and fixing leaks, as well as discovering the nuances of life aboard.

Working "like rented donkeys" but getting to sleep over!

It is all part of the preparations.

Each day we dream of sailing. Of leaving the marina and learning " the ropes". Each visit, each chore, each upgrade, maintenance and refit done brings us a day closer.

Some times we just sit, drink coffee, or Captain Morgan, and just enjoy being aboard this incredible yacht.
